CMOS-integrated GaN LED array for discrete power level stepping in visible light communications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We report a CMOS integrated micro-LED array capable of generating discrete optical output power levels. A 16 x 16 array of individually addressable pixels are on-off controlled through parallel logic signals. With carefully selected groups of LEDs driven

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Advanced Atomic Layer Deposition Technologies for Micro-LEDs and VCSELs

open access: yesNanoscale Research Letters, 2021
In recent years, the process requirements of nano-devices have led to the gradual reduction in the scale of semiconductor devices, and the consequent non-negligible sidewall defects caused by etching.

Development of a Prediction Model for Progression Risk in High‐Grade Gliomas Based on Habitat Radiomics and Pathomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the value of constructing models based on habitat radiomics and pathomics for predicting the risk of progression in high‐grade gliomas. Methods This study conducted a retrospective analysis of preoperative magnetic resonance (MR) images and pathological sections from 72 patients diagnosed with high‐grade gliomas (52 ...

Wireless optogenetics protects against obesity via stimulation of non-canonical fat thermogenesis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Cold stimuli and the subsequent activation of β-adrenergic receptor (β-AR) potently stimulate adipose tissue thermogenesis and increase whole-body energy expenditure.

Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathy due to Biallelic Pathogenic Variants in PIGM

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective PIGM encodes a critical enzyme in the glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)‐anchor biosynthesis pathway. While promoter‐region mutations in PIGM have been associated with a relatively mild phenotype characterized by portal vein thrombosis and absence seizures, recent evidence suggests that coding‐region mutations result in a more severe

A single micro-LED manipulation system based on micro-gripper

open access: yesNanotechnology and Precision Engineering
Micro-LEDs (μLEDs) have advantages in terms of brightness, power consumption, and response speed. In addition, they can also be used as micro-sensors implanted in the body via flexible electronic skin.
