Mo3: A Modular Mobility Model for Future Generation Mobile Wireless Networks
Mobility modeling in 5G and beyond 5G must address typical features such as time-varying correlation between mobility patterns of different nodes, and their variation ranging from macro-mobility (kilometer range) to micro-mobility (sub-meter range ...

Seamless Mobility Mechanisms for Micro Mobile MPLS
Efficient mobility management is one of the most important challenges in mobile networks. Since roaming between wireless cells can cause long handoff latency and high packet loss, it can result in poor quality of services for delay-sensitive applications and for applications requiring reliable transmission.

The temperature dependence of fatigue behavior in nickel‐based superalloys is investigated through high‐resolution measurements of plastic localization. While increasing temperature reduces localization and enhances fatigue performance in René 88DT, Inconel 718 exhibits a sharp degradation at intermediate temperature due to intensified slip ...

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...

This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

Dislocation cutting of γ′ precipitates in Ni‐based superalloys is investigated by linking atomistic simulations with discrete dislocation dynamics. The critical cutting stress is shown to be governed by the antiphase boundary energy, while line tension effects promote edge‐preferred cutting.

Where does mobility begin? Environmental changes often induce small-scale movements that typically fall through the cracks of most conceptual and methodological discussions of environmental mobility. This study examines such “micro-mobilities” – frequent, short-range household shifts that remain largely invisible in conventional migration statistics ...
