VRTwitch: Enabling Micro-motions in VR with Radar Sensing
SIGGRAPH Asia 2021 Posters, 2021Micro-motions are often difficult to incorporate in Virtual Reality (VR) while macro-motions are a popular interaction method, due to technological limitations with VR tracking methods. In this poster, we introduce VRTwitch, a forearm-mounted wearable device that is able to sense micro hand motions. VRTwitch uses an array of reconfigurable miniaturized

A macro–micro motion servopneumatic device
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part I: Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, 2012Micro motion tasks can be found in a wide set of applications, ranging from the assembly of small parts in the semiconductor industry to assisted surgery in medicine. Conventional actuation systems for these types of task are based on the existence of electromagnetic fields (servomotors) or on the existence of some kind of material shape alteration ...

Micro motion at the failed contact interfaces
Proceedings of the Fifty-First IEEE Holm Conference on Electrical Contacts, 2005., 2005On inspection of failed connector's contacts, various wear tracks of micro motion are found. The tracks appear as straight line, curve and twisting. The effect of micro motion not only produces wear debris of contact metals and their oxidation products, but also grabbles and accumulates contaminants which cause high and fluctuated contact resistance ...

Micro-Motions signatures analysis and extraction
2013 International Workshop on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Circuits and System Technology, 2013Micro-Doppler features can be regarded as a unique signature of an object with movements which provide additional information for classification, recognition and identification of the object. The common analysis method of Micro-Motion is time-frequency transform.

Analysis of radar micro-motion model
2018 International Conference on Electronics Technology (ICET), 2018Micro characteristics is essential for radar target recognition. Micro-motion is defined as some dynamics of a target except its main bulk translation. In general, micro-motions are modelled as the sinusoidal forms. However, micro-motions in reality should include more types of movement forms besides the sinusoidal one.

ISAR Imaging with Micro-motion Components
2018 11th UK-Europe-China Workshop on Millimeter Waves and Terahertz Technologies (UCMMT), 2018In practical radar systems, the micro-motions of some scatting points will perform additional frequency modulation effects on echo signals, resulting in the ineffectiveness of traditional algorithm for ISAR imaging. This paper proposes one non-coherent accumulation based method for removing these effects.

Radar Micro-motion Target Resolution
2006 CIE International Conference on Radar, 2006Micro-motion such vibration and rotation induces unique phase modulation or Doppler modulation and offers a new way of characterizing objects. When multiple vibration/rotation targets detection and identification are considered, the echo signal is multi-component sinusoidal modulation signal.

Study on Clutter Suppression Method for Micro-motion Target
2019 IEEE 19th International Conference on Communication Technology (ICCT), 2019In order to solve the problem of the energy loss of echo in the time-domain clutter suppression of narrow-band pulse radar, a novel method based on complex empirical mode decomposition(CEMD) for suppressing clutter, is proposed. Firstly, the model of the rotor micro-motion target in ground clutter, is established.

On the design of 6-DOF parallel micro-motion manipulators
Proceedings 2001 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems. Expanding the Societal Role of Robotics in the the Next Millennium (Cat. No.01CH37180), 2002Parallel manipulators are characterized by symmetry, high precision and stiffness, which allow them to be the mechanisms of micromanipulators. This paper deals with the optimum design of micromanipulator mechanisms. A useful design tool space, named the physical model of the solution space, is proposed.
