Micro-Discharge Micro-Thruster

41st AIAA/ASME/SAE/ASEE Joint Propulsion Conference & Exhibit, 2005
This paper summarizes the experiments and analysis of the micro-discharge micro- thruster developed jointly by Ewing Technology Associates and the University of Washington. The key experimental result has been the demonstration of a sustained discharge in a very simple micro-discharge type of structure (aperture ~ 300 micron) under demanding flow ...

Micro-forceps and Micro-scalpels

Nature, 1952
SOME convenient glass micro-forceps are shown in Fig. 1. Type I are opened by their own resilience and closed by means of a tube fitting around them. In type II the reverse action is shown, closing being effected by resilience and opening by the force of a ball and rod. The two branches of the forceps are fixed in a tube of 1.5 mm.

Electromagnetic micro-actuators, micro-motors, and micro-robots

SPIE Proceedings, 2007
Due to the development of new technologies, more and more complex MEMS applications can be realized. Especially electromagnetic micro actuators have reached a growing interest in micro technology in addition to commercial applications during the last years.

Micro law

IEEE Micro, 1994
Neural networks may be simple or difficult to protect under intellectual property law, depending on what aspect or feature of the network you seek to protect. Subject to fairly limited qualifications, however, you can use US intellectual property law to protect almost any kind of technical advance in neural network design.

Micro mechatronics and micro actuators

IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, 1996
Micro mechatronics is the synergetic integration of both mechanical and electronic systems based on scaling effects in the micro world. A micro mechatronics system is expected to be the key component of the mechanical system, such as in electronic automotive technologies.

Micro-composition

Royal Institute of Philosophy Supplement, 2008
Entities of many kinds, not just material things, have been credited with parts. Armstrong (1978: 36), for example, has taken propositions and properties to be parts of their conjunctions, sets to be parts of sets that include them, and geographical regions and events to be parts of regions and events that contain them.

Micro-fabricated electrolytic micro-bubblers

International Journal of Multiphase Flow, 2005
Abstract Rectangular node electrodes were developed with micro-fabrication techniques in order to produce an electrolytic micro-bubbler which, while subjected to a convective flow, can generate bubbles of nearly uniform size with mean diameters of 50 μm or less.

A Micro Inverter Design for Micro Grids

2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE), 2020
The usage of fossil-based fuels in electrical energy conversion systems causes irreversible damages to the environment. Due to the intensive use of these resources, their reserves are rapidly decreasing. So there are many studies on renewable energy sources and their usage in the literature.

Microserver + micro-switch = micro-datacenter

Proceedings of the 2nd International Workshop on Advanced Interconnect Solutions and Technologies for Emerging Computing Systems, 2017
Many computational workloads from commercial and scientific fields have high demands in total throughput, and energy efficiency. For example the largest radio telescope, to be built in South Africa and Australia combines cost, performance and power targets that cannot be met by the technological development until its installation.
