Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

The influence of the oxygen equivalent in a gas-mixture on the structure and toughness of microalloyed steel weldments [PDF]
Testings were carried out on two steels. The first was microalloyed with Nb and second with Ti, Nb and V. The impact toughness of weld metals of these steels was evaluated using an instrumented Charpy pendulum.

Effect of Nanosized Precipitates on Corrosion Resistance of Nb-Microalloyed Steels
High-strength cold-rolled low-carbon microalloyed steels are widely used in the automotive industry. Preference is generally given to microalloying with niobium, since its effect on the mechanical properties of steel is most pronounced due to both ...

Mixing Behavior of Natural Gas and Hydrogen in a High‐Efficiency Vane (HEV) Static Mixer
Static mixers play a crucial role in the safe transport of hydrogen‐blended natural gas. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was employed to investigate the effects of structural parameters of the HEV static mixer on the mixing behavior and homogeneity of natural gas and hydrogen. The modeling approach was well validated against experimental data.

Effect of solidification rate on microstructure evolution in dual phase microalloyed steel [PDF]
In steels the dependence of ambient temperature microstructure and mechanical properties on solidification rate is not well reported. In this work we investigate the microstructure and hardness evolution for a low C low Mn NbTi-microalloyed steel ...

Alloy Qualification for Producing Quench and Tempered Plate Steels with Extra‐Heavy Gage
This study develops alloy concepts for ultraheavy steel plates (>100 mm) with ≥690 MPa yield strength. Through dilatometry and Jominy testing, the effects of Mo, Ni, and B on hardenability are quantified. A synergy between 0.5% Mo and 0.5%–1.0% Ni ensures core strength at low cooling rates, while boron microalloying suppresses ferrite and promotes ...
