Impact properties of microalloyed steels

open access: yesMetalurgija, 2000
Impact properites of two grades of microalloyed steels (Re>MPa) work hardened by static and dynamic inuaxial tension are presented. Properties are analysed by impact testing at very high impact loading rate (v=785 m/s) and by fatigue testing at ultrasonic, high frequency (20 kHz).

Improvement of corrosion resistance in NaOH solution and glass forming ability of as-cast Mg-based bulk metallic glasses by microalloying [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The influences of the addition of Ag on the glass forming ability (GFA) and corrosion behavior were investigated in the Mg-Ni-based alloy system by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and electrochemical polarization in 0.1 mol/L NaOH solution.

Compressive creep behavior of alloys based on B2 FeAl [PDF]

open access: yes
Alloys based on FeAl are attractive alternate materials for environmental resistance at intermediate temperatures. Addition of small amounts of Nb, Hf, Ta, Mo, Zr, and B were shown to improve the compressive creep of this alloy at 1100 K.
