De Novo Multi‐Mechanism Antimicrobial Peptide Design via Multimodal Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current AI‐driven peptide discovery often overlooks complex structural data. This study presents M3‐CAD, a generative pipeline that leverages 3D voxel coloring and a massive database of over 12 000 peptides to capture nuanced physicochemical contexts.

The unpredictable nature of microbiological responses to metals in real-world contaminated soils: A review

open access: yesFrontiers in Environmental Science
Microbial responses, such as biomass or enzymatic activity, are commonly used to evaluate metal toxicity in contaminated soils. However, multiple studies have demonstrated the existence of microbial tolerance and resilience to metals.

Microbiological studies in conjunctivitis.

open access: yesIndian journal of ophthalmology, 1990
A total of 102 cases of clinically diagnosed cases of acute conjunctivitis were included in the present study. The sample was collected from the inflamed conjunctiva and was subjected to conventional bacterial and fungal cultural studies. The allergic element was found out by studying the smear after Giemsa staining and demonstrating increased number ...

Oral Streptococcus salivarius Couples Neutrophil IRGM1 Signaling to NET Formation and Colorectal Cancer Metastasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The oral bacterium Streptococcus salivarius promotes colorectal cancer metastasis by inducing neutrophil extracellular trap (NET) formation. Mechanistically, IRGM1–IQGAP1 interaction activates Wnt5a–PI3K/AKT signaling in neutrophils, driving NET‐mediated tumor progression.

Sphingomonas paucimobilis‐Driven Epithelial–Endothelial Transition in Adenomyosis Pathogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies epithelial–endothelial transition (EET) as a novel adenomyosis pathogenic mechanism driven by Sphingomonas paucimobilis colonization. Systematic inhibitor experiments validate a TNFα→NF‐κB→MMP signaling cascade essential for EET. Critically, bacterial culture supernatant fails to induce pathological changes, demonstrating viable ...

Mitochondrial CircRNA CircMT‐RNR2 Safeguards Antioxidant Defense to Support Fibroblast Functions in Wound Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CircMT‐RNR2 promotes wound healing by enhancing fibroblast proliferation, migration, contraction, and extracellular matrix (ECM) production. It sustains mitochondrial redox balance by stabilizing the antioxidant protein PRDX3, thereby reducing ROS‐induced damage. In diabetic foot ulcers, hypoxia, hyperglycemia, and reduced FGF2 and EGF expression lower
