Mechanically Stable and Tunable Photoactivated Peptide‐Based Hydrogels for Soft Tissue Adhesion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A collagen‐like peptide hydrogel platform is developed using supramolecular self‐assembly and light‐triggered crosslinking. It creates mechanically stable, tunable hydrogels with cytocompatibility and biodegradability, making them potential soft tissue adhesives.

In Situ 3D Bioprinting: Impact of Cross‐Linking on the Adhesive Properties of Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ 3D bioprinting enables the direct deposition of cell‐laden, adhesive biomaterials for on‐site tissue regeneration. This review provides a comprehensive overview of how cross‐linking influences the bioadhesive properties of hydrogels used in 3D bioprinting, highlighting cross‐linking triggers, bioadhesion mechanisms, polymer interpenetration ...

The role of microbiological methods in diagnosis of periprosthetic joint infection in patients with aseptic loosening of total hip arthroplasty

open access: yesГений oртопедии
Introduction Instability of the total hip arthroplasty is a common complication and an indication for revision arthroplasty. The implant instability is diagnosed as aseptic with no microbiological culture growth to be obtained through preoperative ...

4D‐Printable Poly(Thio)urethane Photoresins With Reactive Oxygen Species Responsiveness and Anti‐Inflammatory Functionality

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces UV‐curable poly(thio)urethane (PSU) thermosets as 4D printable scaffolds responsive to oxidative stress. PSU networks with 100 wt.% polypropylene glycol (PPG) effectively suppress inflammatory markers in microglial cells to basal values.
