Evaluation of Surface Quality in SLS‐Printed Nylon 12 Parts for Hygienic Applications in the Food Industry

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 17, May 5, 2026.
SLS‐printed PA12 specimens (untreated or VaporFuse Surface–treated) were evaluated by PAA sanitization (400 ppm; L. monocytogenes, E. coli, S. aureus) and ISO 3452–based penetrant testing, showing > 99.999% bacterial reduction on both surfaces and improved surface continuity after VFS.

Metasurfaces and Metadevices for Topological Electromagnetic Waves

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 5, Issue 5, May 2026.
Optical topologies refer to diverse topological localized structures made by diverse parameters of light fields, such as vortices, skyrmions, and hopfions. This article navigates a direction of metasurface‐based integrated devices for generation, manipulation and detection of novel topologies of light, which would be a rapidly growing interdisciplinary

Theoretical formulation of chemical equilibrium under vibrational strong coupling

open access: yesNature Communications
Experiments have suggested that strong interactions between molecular ensembles and infrared microcavities can be employed to control chemical equilibria. Nevertheless, the primary mechanism and key features of the effect remain largely unexplored.

Deterministic Entanglement as a Prerequisite for Scalable Quantum Photonic Resource State Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2026.
Scalable photonic quantum computing requires entanglement generated deterministically. Simple combinatorics shows that probabilistic fusion causes exponential overheads, while 1D entangled‑state sources offer orders‑of‑magnitude higher success probabilities than Bell pairs or single photons.

Reducing the Threshold of Organic Polariton Lasers by Active Layer Micropatterning and Lateral Confinement

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
The study demonstrates the miniaturization of organic polariton VCSELs based on BSBCz. Using ultra‐thin shadow masks, isolated microcavities as small as 5 µm are fabricated. These devices achieved record‐low lasing fluences (0.21 µJ/cm2), far below reference devices.

Monitoring Biogenic Amines: Comparative Assessment of Detection Methods for Key Market Marine and Freshwater Species

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Biogenic amines, primarily histamine, cadaverine, and putrescine, are important indicators of microbial spoilage and potential health risks. This review summarizes established and novel analytical methods for quantitatively determining biogenic amines in fish and fish products, along with their limits of detection in these complex matrices ...

Acetylcholine From Solitary Chemosensory Cell, Not Neuron, Regulates Basal Cell Fate Driving Eosinophilic Chronic Rhinosinusitis With Nasal Polyps

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 81, Issue 5, Page 1617-1634, May 2026.
This study identifies that Ach levels are elevated in eCRSwNP and primarily released from SCCs rather than neurons. Ach induces epithelial remodeling in eCRSwNP by binding to M1R/M3R and activating YAP signaling in basal cells, driving basal cell hyperplasia and abnormal differentiation. Blocking M1R/M3R with TB inhibits eCRSwNP progression.

3D‐Printed Geopolymer as a Basic Heterogeneous Catalyst for the Synthesis of α‐Cyanoacrylates Through the Knoevenagel Condensation

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 16, 25 April 2026.
3D‐printed geopolymers are presented as efficient and reusable heterogeneous catalysts for the Knoevenagel condensation. Under mild and green conditions, they promote the high‐yield synthesis of diverse α‐cyanoacrylates with remarkable stability and scalability.
