Multimode sensing based on optical microcavities [PDF]
Optical microcavities have the ability to confine photons in small mode volumes for long periods of time, greatly enhancing light-matter interactions, and have become one of the research hotspots in international academia.

Spectral properties and modes of surface microcavities [PDF]
This thesis describes the experimental investigations into the transverse mode structure of nearly hemispherical microcavities. The nearly hemispherical microcavity structures are fabricated electrocemically through a template of self assembled latex ...

We present a generic microcavity platform for cavity experiments on optically active nanostructures, such as quantum dots, nanocrystals, color centers, and carbon nanotubes. The cavity is of the Fabry-Pérot type with a planar back mirror and a miniature concave top mirror with radius of curvature ∼ 100 μm.

Modelling the polarisation mode control of single quantum-dot emission in elliptical micro-pillar microcavities based on DBR mirror pairs using the FDTD method [PDF]
We use the finite difference time domain method (FDTD) to investigate polarisation control of single-photon emission from single quantum dots confined in elliptical micro-pillar microcavities.

Control of Emission Characteristics of Perovskite Lasers through Optical Feedback
Recent progress on perovskite lasers has shown the large potential for such materials to become a basis for commercially available microlasers in the near feature.
