Magneto‐responsive fibers and fabrics for soft systems
Abstract The combination of functional materials in fiber form has led to a surge in the integration of functional fibers and fabrics into soft systems that span sensing, communication, and actuation domains. A key subset is magnetic fibers and fabrics.

Virtual Walls in Microchannels
2006 International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2006Microfluidic channels were studied, in which the surface is modified from a solid/liquid interface into solid/liquid and air/liquid alternating interface, creating the equivalent of a superhydrophobic surface on the interior of the channel. The composite microchannel can be easily fabricated using embossing or cast molding of PDMS.

In humans, diabetic microangiopathy affects arterioles, capillaries and venules throughout the body. This fact signifies the unity of the vascular occurrences. The pathology of the microchannels functional or structural, has a variable dynamic natural history where localized abnormalities are commonly found at different stages of their development.

Acoustophoresis in shallow microchannels
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2010Acoustophoretic (AP) motion of spherical polystyrene particles in a steady pressure driven flow is investigated in shallow microchannels, where the channel height is comparable to the particle diameter. Particle trajectories at different ultrasonic actuation amplitudes are extracted by a particle tracking algorithm.
