Dual Actuator Wave‐Like Navigator: An Untethered Soft Crawling Robot for Multisurface Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Inspired by snails and earthworms, dual actuator wave‐like navigator (DAWN) is a soft, untethered robot that crawls using wave‐like motion generated by dual helical actuators wrapped in soft elastomer skins. Its modular design and cyclic pneumatic skin actuation improve performance across challenging terrains like sand, grass, and gravel.

Neonatal Respiration Monitoring System with Synchronized Oxygen Supply and Machine Learning‐Based Breathing Classification

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
The study presents a low‐cost, noninvasive system for real‐time neonatal respiratory monitoring. A flexible, screen‐printed sensor patch captures chest movements with high sensitivity and minimal drift. Combined with machine learning, the system accurately detects breathing patterns and offers a practical solution for neonatal care in low‐resource ...

A Mini‐Patch Magnetic Insulin Pump for Enhanced Delivery Resolution and Accuracy

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A miniaturized, high‐resolution magnetic insulin pump is developed by proposing a unique magnetic pumping mechanism, where insulin dispensing is achieved through a magnetic soft actuator that directly compresses the insulin chamber. The device occupies less than one‐quarter the size of piston‐based pumps and allows for a 0.01 μL delivery resolution ...
