Expert Treatment Considerations for Lower Face and Neck Rejuvenation

open access: yesDermatological Reviews, Volume 7, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The lower face and neck are essential to overall facial harmony and a balanced appearance. Although most nonsurgical treatments have focused on the upper and midface, a variety of minimally invasive options are now available for treating the lower face and neck that target different aesthetic concerns and provide welcome ...

Miniaturized Droplet‐Based Adaptation of the Ames Test for High‐Throughput Mutagenicity Assessment

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, Volume 46, Issue 8, Page 2791-2802, August 2026.
ABSTRACT This work presents the first demonstration of a tube‐based droplet microfluidic implementation of the Ames test, bridging single‐droplet resolution with regulatory genotoxicity testing. The Ames test is a cornerstone assay for detecting mutagenicity, but conventional plate‐ and well‐based formats suffer from high reagent consumption, low ...

Sustainable and Antistatic Nanocomposites Based on Poly(Lactic Acid) (PLA): Effect of the Green Plasticizer and Plasma‐Functionalized Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesPolymers for Advanced Technologies, Volume 37, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Conductive and sustainable polymer nanocomposites combine functional performance with environmental responsibility. In this study, flexible and sustainable nanocomposites based on poly(lactic acid) (PLA), epoxidized soybean oil (ESO), and carbon nanotubes (MWCNT), before and after oxygen plasma functionalization (MWCNTf), were developed by ...

Ambient, Bias‐Free, Green Nanoparticle Synthesis via Microdroplet‐Confined Galvanic Chemistry

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 46, 18 August 2026.
Confined galvanic reactions within sprayed microdroplets drive the direct growth of metal nanoparticles on conductive surfaces under ambient conditions. Eliminating the need for external bias and thermal input, this approach offers a simple route toward more sustainable nanoparticle synthesis.

Near‐Armchair‐Enriched Growth of Single‐Walled Carbon Nanotubes via W‐Containing Fe‐Based Catalyst Systems in Mist FC‐CVD

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 46, 18 August 2026.
A mist‐based floating catalyst chemical vapor deposition (mist FC‐CVD) strategy allows the use of non‐volatile precursors and multi‐component catalyst delivery in a continuous process. Through catalyst composition control, it generates near‐armchair‐enriched single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and uncovers key factors governing chiral‐angle ...

Delayed Inflammatory Reactions to Hyaluronic Acid Fillers in a Patient Undergoing Dupilumab Therapy: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Delayed inflammatory reactions to hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers are uncommon but clinically significant, particularly in patients receiving immunomodulatory biologic therapies. Dupilumab, an interleukin‐4 receptor alpha (IL‐4Rα) inhibitor approved for chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis (CRSwNP) and other type 2 ...

Efficacy and Safety of Intradermal Versus Subdermal Injection of Polynucleotide for Facial Improvement: A Prospective Split‐Face Study

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Polynucleotide‐based injectables are increasingly used to improve periocular and midface skin quality, but the optimal delivery approach remains uncertain. Because intradermal and subdermal administration differ in tissue placement and short‐term procedure‐related reactions, clarifying whether subdermal delivery can achieve ...

On the Role of Hydrogen Bond Strength and Charge Transfer in an On‐Water Diels–Alder Reaction: Semiempirical and Free Energy Calculations

open access: yesJournal of Computational Chemistry, Volume 47, Issue 20, July 30, 2026.
Matched Diels‐Alder dienophiles at a water interface reveal that on‐water catalysis depends on hydrogen‐bond quality rather than hydrogen‐bond count. Oxygen preserves charge‐transfer coupling and lowers the free‐energy barrier, whereas sulfur disrupts this coupling and promotes an asynchronous pathway.

Dual‐Laser Laser‐Induced Liquid Bead Ion Desorption Mass Spectrometry: A New Approach for Adjustable Softness and Higher Sensitivity

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 14, 29 July 2026.
Native protein complexes often require gentle ionization to preserve weak interactions, yet higher ion yield typically goes hand in hand with increased in‐source dissociation. Our dual‐laser LILBID approach decouples ion production from dissociation by using two independently tunable pulses, enabling sample‐specific soft conditions and expanding access
