Transparent Surfactant‐Based Isotropic Systems for Topical Co‐Delivery of Hydrophilic and Lipophilic Actives for Striae Distensae

open access: yesJournal of Surfactants and Detergents, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Striae distensae are common dermal lesions that negatively affect skin appearance, and topical management remains limited by challenges related to skin deposition and residence time. Here, we developed transparent surfactant‐based isotropic systems for the topical co‐delivery of ascorbic acid (AA), retinoic acid (RA), and lavender essential ...

Tuning Degradation of Polylactic Acid via Size‐Controlled Silica Nanoparticles

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
Particle size emerges as a simple handle to program polymer degradation. By tailoring the size of silica nanoparticles, the degradation behavior of polylactide composites can be directed towards accelerated hydrolysis or enhanced composting‐induced disintegration without changing the polymer chemistry.

A Ratiometric MRI Probe With a Tuned Crosslinked Network for Quantitative Imaging of Physiological pH

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A ratiometric MRI probe comprising a paramagnetic core and a polymer shell crosslinked with tetraethylene glycol dimethacrylate enables the quantitative imaging of physiological pH. The probe shows pH‐independent r1, while pH‐responsive shell volume changes modulate r2.
