Microhardness of Multilayer Composites

Inorganic Materials: Applied Research, 2019
When the number of composite layers is increased, the Vickers microhardness and the dependence between the threshold energy density of ablative destruction under the action of a laser pulse related to the average transmittance of light by the composites grow.

Microhardness of Polymers

2000
This book, first published in 2000, deals with the micromechanical characterization of polymer materials. Particular attention is given to microhardness as a technique capable of detecting a variety of morphological and textural changes in polymers. A comprehensive introduction to the microhardness of polymers is provided, including descriptions of ...

Different-Oxides Nanoceramics Microhardness

International Journal of Nanoscience, 2014
With help of the method of the spark plasma sintering (SPS), the fine-grained (of micron approximately) ceramics based on various alumina nanopowders had created. A comparison of microhardness of ceramic samples obtained from 11 alumina nanopowders and 2 their composites was held.

Microhardness of Hg1−xMnxTe

Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2007
Abstract The microhardness of Hg 1− x Mn x Te has been investigated by means of Vickers measurements. First, the Hg 0.93 Mn 0.07 Te single crystal was measured at the applied load varying from 15 to 200 g. The results show that the microhardness decreases with the load increasing from 32.8 to 29.7 kgf mm −2 . The Meyer's law, Hays–Kendall approach

Hot-Microhardness Test Equipment

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1969
A micorhardness tester has been developed for use in the temperature range 10 to 1400°C, with loads up to 1 kg. The apparatus utilizes a uniform strength beam instrumented with strain gauges for load determination. Temperature control, load control, holding time at full load, and the indenting process itself are performed remotely and automatically ...

Microhardness of fused periclase

Refractories, 1984
The microhardness of fused periclase has been studied. It is shown that the microhardness of periclase is significantly affected by defects in the structure, in particular, by the dislocation density and the presence of impurity oxides.
