Parametric and Non-Parametric Identification of Micromilling Dynamics
Proceedings of the 4M/ICOMM2015 Conference, 2015Monitoring and control of micromilling process represents a challenging task in metal cutting. The lack of static and dynamic stiffness due to the small tool size represents one of the most important issues that has to be tackled in order to provide satisfactory control of the process.

Computation Model of Machining Mechanics of Glass Micromilling
2009 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Security, 2009For micromilling to be used in the manufacturing of glass-based devices, further machining research is required to find optimum cutting configurations to produce high quality micro-scale features. It is not only extremely expensive but also difficult to investigate machining mechanism by means of various experiments.

Tool deflection model for micromilling processes
The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2014Research in micromilling processes has found that tool deflection phenomenon affects the forces significantly, causing a smoothing effect in the tool run-out. Therefore, this needed to be taken into account to design a model for reliably predicting the cutting forces in these processes.

Built-Up-Edge Formation in Micromilling
Volume 2A: Advanced Manufacturing, 2015This paper presents experimental study on conditions for built-up-edge (BUE) formation and its effects in micromilling. Surface finish and BUE area density on a micromilled surface are used to quantify the presence of BUE. A model for surface finish is derived based on the topography of milled surface and tool geometry.

Cutting Force Estimation in a Micromilling Process
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part B: Journal of Engineering Manufacture, 2010The cutting force estimation of a micro-mill in a milling process was investigated in the present study. As the micro-machining cutting force is so small, the force is difficult to measure using the traditional load cell and therefore cutting force estimation in a milling process was considered.
