Fuel‐free Cu2O‐based micromotors functionalized with β‐cyclodextrin actively remove bisphenol A from water under visible light. The cyclodextrin shell captures BPA and enhances micromotor motility, leading to faster degradation and higher overall removal than nonfunctionalized Cu2O and Cu2O@Au.

Thermometric Based‐Microswimmers with Chemical and Optical Engines
Temperature sensing at small scales is typically performed using passive luminescent particles. Here, an alternative approach is demonstrated by integrating upconversion thermometry into self‐propelled microswimmers powered by chemical fuels or light. This strategy offers a step toward dynamic thermal sensing at the microscale, relevant to both lab‐on ...

Highly Efficient Light-Driven TiO_2–Au Janus Micromotors [PDF]
A highly efficient light-driven photocatalytic TiO_2–Au Janus micromotor with wireless steering and velocity control is described. Unlike chemically propelled micromotors which commonly require the addition of surfactants or toxic chemical fuels, the ...

Soft robotic arms are promising for gentle grasping but often rely on bulky actuation systems. This work presents a computational design framework that optimizes tendon number and routing to achieve target grasps with fewer actuators. Validated on an octopus‐inspired underwater arm, the approach enables efficient, underactuated soft manipulators for ...
