Abstract Basking sharks, Cetorhinus maximus (Gunnerus, Brugden [Squalus maximus], Det Kongelige Norske Videnskabers Selskabs Skrifter, 1765, vol. 3, pp. 33–49), feed by gaping their mouths and gill slits, greatly reorienting their cranial skeletons to filter food from water.

Simple in-system control of microphone sensitivities in an array [PDF]
A method to perform measurements of microphone responses directly in the array of a sensor system is described. It can be applied in reverberant environments and does not require high instrumentation effort.

ABSTRACT In recent years, organizations are adapting their control systems to meet institutional demands for sustainability disclosure. However, the process of integrating sustainability within management control systems (MCSs) remains underexplored, despite extensive literature on sustainability controls.

Compressive sensing with a spherical microphone array [PDF]
A wave expansion method is proposed in this work, based on measurements with a spherical microphone array, and formulated in the framework provided by Compressive Sensing. The method promotes sparse solutions via ℓ1-norm minimization, so that the measured data are represented by few basis functions. This results in fine spatial resolution and accuracy.

Subordination of related party claims in insolvency: A suggestive framework for Asian regimes
Abstract Related party loans, due to their inherent nature, warrant a higher threshold for scrutiny when compared to loans extended by unrelated parties. Why were these monies advanced as loans, carrying higher priority in insolvency, rather than being invested as share capital?

Laser-Based Command Injection Attacks on Voice-Controlled Microphone Arrays
Voice-controlled (VC) systems, such as mobile phones and smart speakers, enable users to operate smart devices through voice commands. Previous works (e.g., LightCommands) show that attackers can trigger VC systems to respond to various audio commands ...
