Potential Role and Utilization of Plant Growth Promoting Microbes in Plant Tissue Culture

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2021
Plant growth promoting microbes (PGPMs) play major roles in diverse ecosystems, including atmospheric nitrogen fixation, water uptake, solubilization, and transport of minerals from the soil to the plant.

Plant genetic transformation: achievements, current status and future prospects

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 23, Issue 6, Page 2034-2058, June 2025.
Summary Regeneration represents a fundamental biological process wherein an organism's tissues or organs repair and replace themselves following damage or environmental stress. In plant systems, injured tree branches can regenerate adventitious buds and develop new crowns through propagation techniques like cuttings and canopy pruning, while transgenic

The Rapid in-vitro micropropagation of Bamboo (Dendrocalamus strictus) and its genetic fidelity testing using ISSR markers

open access: yesEnvironment Conservation Journal, 2021
Bamboo is a versatile, arborescent, perennial and non-wood forest tree with tremendous commercial importance. For mass scale propagation of bamboo, the micropropagation is an effective way for producing elite, infection free and true-to-type planting ...

A novel combination of in vitro propagation and hydroponic culture for hybrid cacao (Theobroma cacao) plants

open access: yesApplications in Plant Sciences, Volume 13, Issue 3, May-June 2025.
Abstract Premise Currently, there is a lack of controlled cultivation methods for cacao (Theobroma cacao), a plant species with high commercial value. One major concern is the tendency of cacao plants to accumulate high concentrations of cadmium (Cd), a heavy metal with high toxicity to living organisms.

Analysis of carbohydrates and glycoconjugates by matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry: An update for 2021–2022

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, Volume 44, Issue 3, Page 213-453, May/June 2025.
Abstract The use of matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry for the analysis of carbohydrates and glycoconjugates is a well‐established technique and this review is the 12th update of the original article published in 1999 and brings coverage of the literature to the end of 2022.

Results in the determination of some Hosta varieties by the method of isoelectric focusing

open access: yesInternational Journal of Horticultural Science, 2001
Mass propagation of 5 newly introduced Hosta varieties was carried out by the method of micropropagation. Our aim was to determine exact variety specificity after the micropropagation period in the pattern of peroxidase isoenzymes by isoelectric focusing

Using long‐term tree diversity experiments to explore the mechanisms of temporal shifts in forest ecosystem functioning

open access: yesOikos, Volume 2025, Issue 4, April 2025.
Plant diversity is known to influence ecosystem functioning, but the strength and direction of this relationship vary considerably among studies, most of which have a short duration. In communities with long‐lived species, such as forests, traits of individual trees change from seedlings to maturity, and the environment in which trees grow also ...

Micropropagation of Ornithogalum maculatum

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Botany, 1989
Ornithogalum maculatum Jacq. was rapidly propagated in vitro from leaf tissue, provided the leaves were cut from donor plants of which the first florets had opened. The growth of cultures, consisting of callus, adventitious shoots and leaf sections, was stimulated by combinations of BA at 0,5–2,0mgdm−3 and NAA at 0,01–2,0mgdm−3.

Evaluation of genetic homogeneity of Jatropha curcas L. hybrid at an early stage of shoot bud formation from petioles using ISSR marker

open access: yesBiotechnology & Biotechnological Equipment, 2017
Genetic homogeneity is known to be the most important prerequisite in the micropropagation of Jatropha curcas L. to produce true-to-type plants. The detection of genetic homogeneity in clonal micropropagation for elite plants at an early stage is ...
