Assessing the Proteomic Activity of the Venom of the Ant Ectatomma tuberculatum (Hymenoptera: Formicidae: Ectatomminae)

open access: yesPsyche: A Journal of Entomology, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
Ectatomma tuberculatum has one of the most toxic venoms known among ants but there is no detailed study on its characteristics. In light of this, knowing the venom’s chemical composition is of paramount importance in order to obtain information about the mechanisms of its components.

Candidozyma cisalpinoae sp. nov., a Genomically Distinct, Flower‐Associated Yeast, Resistant to Azoles and Exhibiting Pathogenicity‐Related Traits

open access: yesYeast, Volume 43, Issue 1-2, Page 25-37, January-March 2026.
Candidozyma cisalpinoae sp. nov. represents a distinct species within the Candidozyma clade, supported by multilocus phylogeny, genome‐scale metrics, and phenotypic traits. Although isolated from floral substrates, this species displays several traits commonly associated with opportunistic pathogenic yeasts.

In vitro antimicrobial activity of a gel containing antimicrobial peptide AMP2041, chlorhexidine digluconate and Tris‐EDTA on clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa from canine otitis

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 27, Issue 5, Page 391-e98, October 2016., 2016
Background– Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) may cause suppurative otitis externa with severe inflammation and ulceration in dogs. Multidrug resistance is commonly reported for this organism, creating a difficult therapeutic challenge. Objective– The aim of this study was to evaluate the in vitro antimicrobial activity of a gel containing 0.5 µg/mL of ...
