The structure of interrupted human AC microsatellites
Microsatellite lengths change over evolutionary time through a process of replication slippage. A recently proposed model of this process holds that the expansionary tendencies of slippage mutation are balanced by point mutations breaking longer ...

Postoperative Chemotherapy in Stage IIA Gastric Cancer: Not Always Necessary
Postoperative chemotherapy (POCT) in stage IIA gastric cancer was associated with improved overall survival but did not significantly improve disease‐specific survival after propensity score matching. The benefit of POCT varied across subgroups, with limited benefit in patients with favorable tumor biology and potential benefit in higher‐risk patients.

Ancient and Modern Genomes Reveal Microsatellites Maintain a Dynamic Equilibrium Through Deep Time
Microsatellites are widely used in population genetics, but their evolutionary dynamics remain poorly understood. It is unclear whether microsatellite loci drift in length over time.

ABSTRACT Objective Prenatal genetic testing for imprinting disorders is rarely requested with the exception of Beckwith‐Wiedemann syndrome (BWS) which is associated with specific ultrasound findings (e.g., placental mesenchymal dysplasia, omphalocele). However, genetic testing for BWS is challenging as aberrant DNA methylation has to be addressed which
