Comparing a Portable Motion Analysis System against the Gold Standard for Potential Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury Prevention and Screening

open access: yesSensors
Knee kinematics during a drop vertical jump, measured by the Kinect V2 (Microsoft, Redmond, WA, USA), have been shown to be associated with an increased risk of non-contact anterior cruciate ligament injury.

3D As‐Built Environments in Extended Reality Applications: A Systematic Review

open access: yesThe Photogrammetric Record, Volume 41, Issue 194, April/June 2026.
This systematic review identifies BIM and game engines as the primary tools for integrating 3D as‐built environments into XR. While multi‐sensor fusion and multimodal interaction enhance immersion, persistent challenges like manual modeling and bandwidth limitations continue to hinder full ecosystem maturation.

Comparing Movement Patterns and Physical Function Between Chronic Low Back Pain Patients With Nociplastic and Nociceptive Pain Categories

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Are differences in perceived disability between nociceptive and nociplastic cLBP patients reflected in actual movement patterns or in patients' perceived functional ability? Despite worse patient‐reported disability, primarily nociplastic patients did not exhibit worse biomechanical function when compared to primarily nociceptive patients.
