Advanced Ceramics in Aerospace and Defense: The Interrelationship between Traditional and Additive Manufacturing Approaches

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 3, 5 February 2026.
Additive manufacturing revolutionizes production by enabling on‐demand, customized, and sustainable manufacturing with streamlined supply chains. While metal and polymer AM are well‐established, advanced ceramic AM is rapidly emerging, overcoming traditional material challenges.

Characteristic analysis of microstripline on longitudinally-magnetized ferrite substrate

open access: yesJournal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation, 2014
Based on a duality relationship between magnetic and dielectric substrates, the characteristic impedance, propagation content and phase shift characteristic of microstrip line on longitudinally-ferrite substrates are researched. The conclusion can be drawn ...

Analysis and characterizations of planar transmission structures and components for superconducting and monolithic integrated circuits [PDF]

open access: yes
The analysis and modeling of superconducting planar transmission lines were performed. Theoretically, the highest possible Q values of superconducting microstrip line was calculated and, as a result, it provided the Q value that the experiment can aim ...

Dielectrically shielded microstrip (DSM) lines

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1987
Microstrip lines can be shielded by a dielectric cover to reduce the radiation loss. Experiments carried out using ring resonators showed the insertion loss can be substantially reduced. The effective dielectric constant of these shielded microstrip lines was calculated by the variational method. The results agree very well with experiment.

Terahertz Waveform‐Selective Antenna Using a Patch Structure Loaded with Nonlinear Circuits

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
A waveform‐selective antenna that integrates the functions of waveform selectivity, electromagnetic shielding, and EM wave radiation has been proposed. By integrating different nonlinear circuits and selecting appropriate component values, the antenna can achieve high reflection of either a pulse wave or a continuous wave, while allowing the other ...

Simple formulas for microstrip lines

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1976
A modification to earlier work is presented which allows for finite strip thickness in the calculation of microstrip impedance and line wavelength. It shows a considerable improvement in accuracy and scope over some earlier work which included strip thickness, but remains simple in form. Expressions are presented which allow calculation of Z and λg for

Enhanced Responsivity, Accuracy, and Stability of Aerosol Jet Printing via Mechanical Switching Valve Assisted Internal Shuttering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 9, 13 February 2026.
This work demonstrates ultra‐high ON‐OFF responsivity of AJP by mechanical switching valve assisted shuttering. The jet relaxation and ON‐OFF delay are substantially eliminated from greater than 35 s, maintaining patterning quality independent of the variations of printing parameters, permitting excellent process stability and universality.

Microstrip filters for measurement and control of superconducting qubits

open access: yes, 2013
Careful filtering is necessary for observations of quantum phenomena in superconducting circuits at low temperatures. Measurements of coherence between quantum states requires extensive filtering to protect against noise coupled from room temperature ...
