Analysis and characterizations of planar transmission structures and components for superconducting and monolithic integrated circuits [PDF]
The analysis and modeling of superconducting planar transmission lines were performed. Theoretically, the highest possible Q values of superconducting microstrip line was calculated and, as a result, it provided the Q value that the experiment can aim ...

Microstrip filters for measurement and control of superconducting qubits
Careful filtering is necessary for observations of quantum phenomena in superconducting circuits at low temperatures. Measurements of coherence between quantum states requires extensive filtering to protect against noise coupled from room temperature ...

A new impedance matching method for an ultra-wide band and dual circularly polarised feed [PDF]
In traditional antenna design, metal components are not placed in the central part of the antenna as they change the characteristics of near field radiation.

Dielectrically shielded microstrip (DSM) lines
Microstrip lines can be shielded by a dielectric cover to reduce the radiation loss. Experiments carried out using ring resonators showed the insertion loss can be substantially reduced. The effective dielectric constant of these shielded microstrip lines was calculated by the variational method. The results agree very well with experiment.

A Scalable and Integrated Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface
A scalable X‐band reconfigurable intelligent surface is presented using one‐bit phase‐tunable unit cells with integrated FPGA control. The RIS supports fast, high‐speed reconfiguration through WiFi, LAN, and USB interfaces and can be scaled to multiple tiles. The design achieves over 20 dBi broadside gain and reliable 2D beam steering in both elevation

Simple formulas for microstrip lines
A modification to earlier work is presented which allows for finite strip thickness in the calculation of microstrip impedance and line wavelength. It shows a considerable improvement in accuracy and scope over some earlier work which included strip thickness, but remains simple in form. Expressions are presented which allow calculation of Z and λg for

Investigation of the Resonance Phenomenon in a Microstrip to Grounded Coplanar Waveguide Structure
ABSTRACT In this paper, we investigate the resonance phenomenon in a microstrip (MS) to grounded coplanar waveguide (GCPW) to MS structure. We demonstrate that the resonance arises from the relative phase difference between two excited modes in the GCPW.
