Pseudochiral microstrip line

2009 Asia Pacific Microwave Conference, 2009
This paper presents a full-wave analysis of a microstrip line with pseudochiral omega substrate. After TE-TM decomposition of the fields, the resulting equations are transformed into spectral domain. The dispersion characterristics are computed after finding the zeros of determinantal equation resulting from the application of Galerkin's method.

Light-controlled microstrip line coupler

International Journal of Infrared and Millimeter Waves, 1988
We have analyzed coupling properties of the coupled microstrip lines whose substrate contain electron-hole plasma by means of the spectral domain method. Scattering parameters in each ports have been evaluated numerically as a function of plasma density. Experiments were carried out using high resistivity silicon and LEDs.

Resonances for Microstrip Transmission Lines

SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 2004
Summary: We rigorously derive asymptotic formulae for resonances associated with a microstrip transmission line mounted on a planar waveguide with variable electromagnetic characteristics when the width of the line goes to zero.

2-D PBG structure in microstrip line and symmetrical microstrip line

2000 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference. Proceedings (Cat. No.00TH8522), 2002
The effect of the structure parameters on the band-gap character of a 2-D PBG structure is thoroughly discussed. This structure is firstly used to symmetrical microstrip line and good results are obtained. It is also applied to coplanar waveguide (CPW), but no obvious band-gap is found in this case.

Parallel PBG microstrip line

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2005
A novel photonic bandgap (PBG) microstrip line is proposed for 50Ω conventional microstrip line. The proposed structure is fabricated with a periodic rectangle etched on the edge of the conductor line, and a flat and low-rippled passband is obtained.

Grooved suspended microstrip line

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 1998 Digest. Antennas: Gateways to the Global Network. Held in conjunction with: USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting (Cat. No.98CH36194), 2002
This paper presents a new type of a grooved suspended microstrip line configuration. The groove dimensions provide an extra degree of freedom in design to increase the impedance control capability of the line. The method of lines has been employed for this purpose. Finally, the dispersion characteristics of this new type of grooved suspended microstrip

Multilayered Microstrip Transmission Line

2014
There are a number of application areas of the terahertz (THz) spectrum which have been identified and discussed in Chap. 1. These potential areas can be categorized into the traditional and modern application areas. The traditional application areas are the imaging, sensing, and spectroscopy.

A transition of microstrip line to dielectric microstrip line for millimeter wave circuits

2013 IEEE International Wireless Symposium (IWS), 2013
A compact microstrip line to dielectric microstrip line (DML) transition is investigated, where DML is a dielectric waveguide that has quasi-planar structure line like conventional microstrip. DML is much more convenient to be used for various circuit constructions, comparing to other dielectric waveguides such as non-radiative dielectric guide and ...

Parameters of Microstrip Transmission Lines and of Coupled Pairs of Microstrip Lines

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1968
A theoretical analysis is presented of microwave propagation on microstrip, with particular reference to the case of coupled pairs of microstrip lines. Data on this type of transmission line are needed for the design of directional couplers, filters, and other components in microwave integrated circuits.
