Microstrip Patch Antenna for RFID Applications [PDF]
UHF band microstrip patch antenna for RFID reader with a center frequency of 867 MHz, as specified in Gen2 protocol European standards, is designed. Patch antenna is printed on FR4 material with dielectric constant of 4.55 with dimensions of 10times12 cm, from measurements at 867 MHz S11 is observed to be -22dB with an input impedance of 42.4 Omega.

Microstrip patch antenna for RFID applications
2009 Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2009The microstrip patch antenna is a popular printed resonant antenna for narrow-band microwave wireless link applications such as radio frequency identification (RFID) systems that require semi-hemispherical coverage. In this paper, a 865 MHz microstrip patch antenna fed by a microstrip line designed on a substrate is considerably studied and thoroughly ...

Beam scannable microstrip patch antenna
2014 International Workshop on Antenna Technology: Small Antennas, Novel EM Structures and Materials, and Applications (iWAT), 2014A novel beam scanning technique of a ferrite loaded microstrip patch antenna is presented. Beam scanning is produced from controlled interaction of the radiated fields and the gyromagentic properties of the axially magnetized ferrite rods. By varying the magnetizing fields of the ferrite rods, optimally placed in the near field region of the antenna ...

Ladder Shape Microstrip Patch Antenna
2018 International Conference on High Performance Computing & Simulation (HPCS), 2018In this paper, a ladder shaped microstrip patch antenna with an average size, suitable for most mobile phones, is proposed. The proposed antenna has a size of 120*50 mm2 for a ladder patch with coaxial cable feeding. It covers a bandwidth of approximately 30 MHz from 685 MHz to 715 MHz that is in the UHF band.

Tuning stubs for microstrip patch antennas
Proceedings of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 1994A practical method for the simultaneous tuning, of both the resonant frequency and reflection coefficient, of a coaxially fed rectangular-microstrip patch is described. The use of two tuning stubs allows independent adjustment of the effective patch length and the effective position of the feed point.

Design of rectangular microstrip patch antenna
2016 2nd International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Signal and Image Processing (ATSIP), 2016The purpose of this paper is to design a microstrip rectangular antenna in Advance Design System Momentum (ADS). The resonant frequency of antenna is 4.1GHz. The reflection coefficient is less than −10dB for a frequency range of 3.1GHz to 5.1 GHz. The proposed rectangular patch antenna has been devise using Glass Epoxy substrate (FR4) with dielectric ...

The demand for smaller, conformable antennas with desired properties has made antenna Engineers to device better ways of making antennas. The patch antenna comes to the rescue, as it provides the features needed in antennas used in the telecoms, meteorological and military industries, where light weight low profile antennas are required. The Microstrip
