Microstructure Evolution in a GOES Thin Strip

open access: yesMetals, 2022
This paper focuses on the evolution of the microstructure in a grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES) thin strip after casting. After solidification, the microstructure consisted of delta-ferrite. A small fraction of austenite was formed during the cooling of the thin strip in the two-phase region (gamma+delta).

Understanding Thermodynamic and Kinetic Stabilization of FeNiZr via Systematic High-Throughput In Situ XRD Analysis

open access: yesMetals, 2020
The role of kinetically and thermodynamically driven microstructural evolution on FeNiZr was explored through in situ XRD analysis. A statistical approach based on log-likelihoods and composite link model was used to fit and extract important data from ...

Dynamic recrystallization, twinning behaviors and mechanical response of pre-twinned AZ31 Mg alloy sheet along various strain paths at warm temperature

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2022
In this study, AZ31 Mg alloy sheet was pre-twinned at room temperature along the transverse direction (TD) to introduce {10–12} tensile twins. The uniaxial tensile experiment was conducted at 200 °C to investigate the dynamic recrystallization, twinning ...

Prediction of microstructure in machined deformation layer considering the effect of γ′ precipitates of FGH96 through a FEM-CA coupling method

open access: yesMaterials & Design
The complex non-uniform deformation field in the cutting process induces microstructural evolution, leading to changes in mechanical properties, which has attracted increasing attention.

Microstructural Evolution along the NiCrMoV Steel Welded Joints Induced by Low-Cycle Fatigue Damage

open access: yesMetals, 2021
The degradation of mechanical properties of materials is essentially related to microstructural changes under service loadings, while the inhomogeneous degradation behaviors along welded joints are not well understood.

Hot deformation behavior and microstructural evolution of SiCp/Al-4.2Cu-4.1Mg composites

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
This study investigates the hot deformation behavior and microstructural evolution of 30 vol% SiCp/Al-4.2Cu-4.1Mg composites. Stress-strain curves were obtained through isothermal hot compression tests (deformation temperatures 350–500 °C, strain rates 0.

GelMA‐based 3D spheroids recapitulate transcriptomic and functional hallmarks of myeloid sarcoma

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
GelMA 5% hydrogels support the formation of myeloid leukemia spheroids that recapitulate MS‐specific features, including G1 arrest, apoptosis, and ECM‐driven transcriptomic reprogramming. The 3D model mimicked soft‐tissue‐like stiffness and oxygen conditions, and transcriptomic convergence with primary MS samples confirmed its utility as a preclinical ...

Microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of chip-stacking micro-solder joints under TG bonding process

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
As chip-stacking micro-joints are downsized to less than 20 μm, the microstructural evolution induced by multiple TG bonding has emerged as a critical concern for mechanical properties.

Acute Kidney Injury After Mechanical Thrombectomy for Stroke in Patients With Pre‐Existing Renal Impairment

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common but often underrecognized complication in ischemic stroke patients undergoing mechanical thrombectomy, particularly among those with pre‐existing renal impairment. This study evaluated the incidence, risk factors, and clinical impact of AKI in this high‐risk population.

Micro-to-nano-scale microstructural evolution and mechanical characteristics of (CrFeNiCu)100-xAlx high entropy alloys with x = 0, 3, 5, 7, 10, 12 and 15 at.%

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
High entropy alloys (HEAs), as advanced materials, have gained significant attention over the past decade owing to their exceptional properties. As-cast (CrFeNiCu)100-xAlx HEAs (x = 0, 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, and 15 at.%) were designed by adding Al as a minor ...
