The Transport Behavior of a Biflagellated Microswimmer before and after Cargo Loading.

Langmuir, 2021
The changes in the transport behavior of a microswimmer before and after cargo loading are crucial to understanding and control of the motion of a biohybrid microbot.

Trypanosomes – versatile microswimmers

The European Physical Journal Special Topics, 2016
Evolution has generated a plethora of flagellate microswimmers. They populate all natural waters, from the deep sea to the ponds in our neighbourhood. But flagellates also thrive in the bodies of higher organisms, where they mostly remain undetected, but can also become pathogenic.

Optimal strokes for axisymmetric microswimmers

The European Physical Journal E, 2009
We present a theory for low-Reynolds-number axisymmetric swimmers and a general strategy for the computation of strokes of maximal efficiency. An explicit equation characterizing optimal strokes is derived, and numerical strategies to obtain solutions are discussed.

Interactions between comoving magnetic microswimmers

Physical Review E, 2008
The artificial microswimmer [R. Dreyfus, Nature (London) 437, 862 (2005)] whose mechanism of propulsion is the magnetically driven undulation of a flagellum-like tail composed of chemically linked paramagnetic beads can be used as a physical model with which to study low-Reynolds-number swimming.
