Breathlessness in microvascular angina

Respiratory Medicine, 1994
In patients with microvascular angina (MA), there is some evidence from studies of plethysmography, that there are widespread microvascular abnormalities. In addition to exertional chest pain, all these patients complain of breathlessness, with no evidence of airways obstruction or resting left ventricular dysfunction.

Microvascular Nail Transfer

Hand Clinics, 1990
A composite of nail and its skin appendages can be transferred for the foot to the hand by microvascular anastomosis. For technical reasons, the most suitable donor nail is from the big toe, and this most closely approximates the thumb nail. A finite portion of hemipulp must be included with the transfer to ensure adequate vascularization.

Microvascular exchange of albumin

Microvascular Research, 1983
The transcapillary exchange of albumin was examined in seven rabbits using plasma disappearance curves and black box kinetic analysis. From the experimental data and the Renkin and Kedem-Katchalsky equations it was found that the average whole body diffusional capillary permeability coefficient for albumin was 24 X 10(-8) cm/sec as the total whole body

Microvascular Reconstruction of the Hand

Clinics in Plastic Surgery, 1983
For the patient with a demonstrated occlusion in either the major arterial supply of the hand or in the distal digital circulation, modern microsurgery offers an opportunity for reconstruction with restoration of normal flow and sensibility. Observation should not be the mainstay of therapy for digital or upper extremity ischemic symptoms.

Thymic microvascular system

Microscopy Research and Technique, 1997
Morphological studies of the microcirculatory system in the thymus were reviewed in regards to methodology and structural organization of blood and lymphatic vessels. The blood capillaries and postcapillary venules (PCVs) in the thymus are characterized by a double-walled structure. These vessels are surrounded more or less by perivascular spaces (PVSs)
