Spontaneous immortalization of human dermal microvascular endothelial cells

To establish and characterize a spontaneously immortalized human dermal microvascular endothelial cell line, iHDME1.We developed a spontaneous immortalization method. This approach is based on the application of optimized culture media and culture conditions without addition of any exogenous oncogenes or carcinogens.

Hemoglobin's α‐Helix‐to‐β‐Sheet Transition Enables Targeted mRNA Delivery to the Lung

Acidic heating converts hemoglobin into β‐sheet‐rich fibrils with positively charged surfaces. These hemoglobin fibrils electrostatically complex IL‐11 scFv mRNA, selectively bind circulating platelets, and hitchhike to the lung, where they are enriched in fibroblasts.

Matrix Stiffness Induces Endothelial Network Senescence

Using a 3D human in vitro model that decouples mechanical stress from inflammatory or biochemical signals, matrix stiffening induces a senescence phenotype in endothelial networks. This mechano‐induced senescence activates Notch signaling, and pharmacologic Notch inhibition attenuates this stiffness‐induced senescence.
