Measurement of antennas and microwave components using time-domain reflectometry of a voltage impulse

open access: yes, 2011
Band-pass microwave systems such as ultra-wideband antennas are traditionally characterized in the frequency-domain through a vector network analyzer in an anechoic chamber.

A High-Pass Antenna Interference Cancellation Chip for Mutual Coupling Reduction of Antennas in Contiguous Frequency Bands

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, an antenna interference cancellation chip (AICC) with a high-pass response is proposed to mitigate the mutual coupling of two antennas resonating in contiguous frequency bands.

Wireless communication applications of the variable inclination continuous transverse stub array for Ku‐band applications

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, 2021
A wideband and continuous beam steering variable inclination continuous transverse stub antenna array is presented in the communication. The proposed antenna consists of a continuous transverse stub (CTS) array and a line source generator (LSG).

Effect of terahertz irradiation on DNA damage repair in living cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We investigated the effect of terahertz (THz) wave irradiation on DNA double‐strand break (DSB) repair in living cells. We found that THz irradiation enhanced DSB repair at specific frequencies, whereas heat treatment inhibited it, indicating that this effect is nonthermal and frequency‐specific.

Multimode and Multiband Microstrip Antennas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This thesis describes original work on the broadband and multiband matching of microstrip patch antennas. Microstrip patch antennas suffer from many constraints on their performance. One major restriction is their narrow impedance bandwidth.

Powder Optimization Strategies for Binder Jetting Printing of BaTiO3 and Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 Ceramics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Powder optimization is investigated to enable binder jetting of BaTiO3 and Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics. The antagonistic relationship between flowability and binder compatibility is addressed through binder impregnation of granulated powders and fumed silica addition to fine powders.
