Co-simulation of a reactor assisted by microwaves
2018 International Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society Symposium (ACES), 2018In this paper, the design and analysis of a chemical reactor assisted by microwaves is presented. A co-simulation that links the electromagnetic and thermal phenomena presented in the reactor is performed to obtain the power density and temperature distributions. The results show that a matching network is required to obtain a maximum transfer of power.

Model of a Reactor Chamber with Microwave Heating

Reactions of cyclohexane in a microwave discharge reactor
Journal of Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology, 1972AbstractA study has been made of the reactions of cyclohexane in a continuous‐flow microwave discharge reactor. Butene‐1 and propylene were the major reaction products; ethylene and hydrogen were produced in smaller amounts. The distribution of reaction products was found to depend on the reactor pressure and flow‐rate.

Modeling of microwave reactors : microwave and kinetics in gas flow approaches
Le Journal de Physique IV, 1998The modeling of microwave plasma reactors must couple the external hf field to the kinetics of charged particles and neutral species in presence of a gas flow. Various approaches to solve the non-linear coupled equations which describe the physical situation, are proposed and discussed in this paper.
