Experiments with microwave sensors
International Journal of Remote Sensing, 1992After an introductory first section, based on the previous history of microwave remote sensing in Europe, a review of achievements is presented in two parts. In the first the material is based on sensor development in the different European countries, whereas in the second non-European sensors are also included.

A microwave vehicle sensor is described. It is based on microwave radiometry, that is measurement of microwave energy (or temperature) emitted or reflected by bodies. This technique allows detection of passing vehicules as well as measurement of speed and length. Abnormal road surface condition is also detected.

A Microwave Sensor for Steam Quality
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2008In this paper, a microwave-based in-line sensor for steam quality is described, and test results are reported. The sensor employs a novel high-pressure process seal that minimizes mismatch effects when water condenses on its inner surface.

Intercalibration Between Special Sensor Microwave Imager/Sounder and Special Sensor Microwave Imager
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2008The F16 satellite was successfully launched on October 18, 2003, carrying the first special sensor microwave imager/sounder (SSMIS) onboard. In this paper, the SSMIS imaging channels 12-18 are intercalibated against the F15 special sensor microwave/imager (SSM/I) instrument using simultaneous conical overpassing (SCO) observations from both satellites.

A microwave sensor for glue on paper detection
2014 21st IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (ICECS), 2014A microwave sensor for glue on paper detection for industrial application has been developed. It uses a resonant cavity to detect and measure the amount of glue placed on a dielectric layer, for example a sheet of paper. It works in the ISM band, at 2.45 GHz. It can be used for the control of the industrial gluing for the mailing and packaging sector.

A microwave sensor for zinc corrosion detection
Journal of Applied Physics, 2017This article presents a sensor based on zinc wires of different widths deposited on the surface of the ceramic resonator capable of detecting and following the evolution of the corrosion of the zinc material. Electromagnetic studies show that due to the evolution of the corrosion, the progressive degradation of the conductivity of the formed zinc grid (
