Development of microwave gas sensors
Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2011Abstract This work presents a novel approach in gas detection by an original method of microwave transduction. The design of the sensor includes a coplanar grounded wave guide with a gas sensing material to study its sensitivity to ammonia in argon flux.

Microwave Fibre Orientation Sensor
28th European Microwave Conference, 1998, 1998A new sensor based on a microwave resonator for measuring the fibre orientation in sheets was developed. The device is non-contacting and is suitable for measurements of moving web in paper and board machines. It can also be applied to measure the molecular orientation of plastic films.

New type of microwave position sensors
2015 12th International Conference on Telecommunication in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Services (TELSIKS), 2015In this paper a new type of microwave position sensor is introduced. It is an angular microstrip sensor based on a slot etched in the ground plane. It is a microstrip stub resonator with slow-wave effect induced by the slot. Covering the slot decreases slow-wave effect and increases resonant frequency.

Microwave Sensor Applications in Industry
17th European Microwave Conference, 1987, 1987Microwave measuring methods can be applied to determine the properties of materials and hence it is possible to develop microwave sensors for processing industry. The first applications were in moisture measurement but lately many new sensor applications have appeared.

Industrial Microwave Sensors—A Review
Subsurface Sensing Technologies and Applications, 2000This paper reviews the field of microwave sensors. The field is broad and the applications numerous. This review will therefore only be able to present the broad outlines. Firstly the historical perspective and the physical background are briefly described, and the general advantages and disadvantages are listed.
