Solvent‐Induced Octahedral Self‐Assembly of Prussian Blue and Its Applications in Sodium‐Ion Capacitors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the stepwise assembly process of octahedral Prussian Blue (PB) particles in glycerol. Initially, smaller cubic PB nanoparticles form and interact in the solvent. Over time, these particles undergo dissolution and reassembly, leading to the formation of well‐defined octahedral structures with minimized surface energy.

Synthetic dimensions in ultracold molecules: quantum strings and membranes

open access: yes, 2018
Synthetic dimensions alter one of the most fundamental properties in nature, the dimension of space. They allow, for example, a real three-dimensional system to act as effectively four-dimensional.

Facile Tri‐Metallic Catalyst Fabrication Using the Dynamic Hydrogen Bubble Template method

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Porous metal catalysts are prepared using hydrogen bubbles as a natural template. By carefully selecting metal combinations and thermal treatment, the researchers tailored surface composition and structure, boosting catalytic performance. The approach offers a powerful and flexible route to designing advanced materials for green energy Abstract ...

Storage and on-demand release of microwaves using superconducting resonators with tunable coupling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We present a system which allows to tune the coupling between a superconducting resonator and a transmission line. This storage resonator is addressed through a second, coupling resonator, which is frequency-tunable and controlled by a magnetic flux ...

Electrochemically Driven Tandem In‐Plane Reduction and FeCl3‐ Intercalation of Highly Crystalline Graphene Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a green processing route for high‐performance reduced graphene oxide (rGO) transparent conductive films (TCFs) using highly crystalline Brodie's GO. In‐plane electrochemical reduction forms rGO on insulating substrates without toxic reductants or heat. Subsequent FeCl₃ intercalation enhances conductivity, overcoming the transparency–

Co-Al Mixed Oxides Prepared via LDH Route Using Microwaves or Ultrasound: Application for Catalytic Toluene Total Oxidation

open access: yes, 2015
Co6Al2HT hydrotalcite-like compounds were synthesized by three different methods: co-precipitation, microwaves-assisted and ultrasound-assisted methods. The mixed oxides obtained after calcination were studied by several techniques: XRD, TEM, H2-TPR and ...

Additive‐Driven Phase Control for Stable and Efficient CsPbI₃ Solar Cells Via Ambient Low‐Temperature Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
CsPbI₃ perovskite solar cells face stability issues due to high annealing temperatures and moisture. Butylammonium acetate (BAAc) enables stable phase formation at 160°C in ambient laboratory conditions, enhancing efficiency and stability, achieving 18.6% PCE, and maintaining over 81% efficiency after 1,000 hours of maximum power point tracking under 1

Sentinel-1-Aided Mutual Calibration of TanDEM-X DEMs for the Estimation of Height and Volume Changes

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Digital elevation models (DEM) derived from TanDEM-X single-pass interferometric SAR data are widely used for a large vary of applications. One of the main application fields regards the monitoring of topographic changes, which can be properly estimated ...

Microwave quantum diode

open access: yesNature Communications
AbstractThe fragile nature of quantum circuits is a major bottleneck to scalable quantum applications. Operating at cryogenic temperatures, quantum circuits are highly vulnerable to amplifier backaction and external noise. Non-reciprocal microwave devices such as circulators and isolators are used for this purpose.

Magnetic‐Field Tuning of the Spin Dynamics in the Quasi‐2D Van der Waals Antiferromagnet CuCrP2S6

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reveals 2D character of the spin dynamics in CuCrP2S6, as well as complex field dependence of collective excitations in the antiferromagnetically ordered state. Their remarkable tuning from the antiferromagnetic to the ferromagnetic type with magnetic field, together with the non‐degeneracy of the magnon gaps favorable for the induction of ...
