Multimodal Human–Robot Interaction Using Human Pose Estimation and Local Large Language Models

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A multimodal human–robot interaction framework integrates human pose estimation (HPE) and a large language model (LLM) for gesture‐ and voice‐based robot control. Speech‐to‐text (STT) enables voice command interpretation, while a safety‐aware arbitration mechanism prioritizes gesture input for rapid intervention.

Occult renal cell carcinoma manifesting with epistaxis in a woman: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports, 2011
Introduction Metastatic disease in the sinonasal region occurs rarely and the primary site may be elusive. This case highlights the possibility of an occult renal tumor manifesting with nasal symptoms and the risk of severe bleeding following nasal ...

Remote Magnetomechanical Neuromodulation Uncovers Therapeutic Mechanisms for Alleviating Parkinsonian Symptoms in Freely Moving Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magnetomechanical neuromodulation using magnetic nanodiscs enables remote activation of neurons. In a hemiparkinsonian mouse model, alternating magnetic fields actuate the nanodiscs to generate torque that opens mechanosensitive ion channels within the subthalamic nucleus, thereby modulating basal ganglia motor circuitry.

Middle Ear Neuroendocrine Tumor: A Case Report and Review of the Literature in Pediatric Population

open access: yes, 2021
A rare pediatric case report of middle ear neuroendocrine tumor and review of the pediatric cases reported in the literature. A 16-year-old female showed a lesion occupying the posterosuperior part of the medial third of the right external auditory canal

ROS‐Targeted Nanomotor Therapy in OA: Cartilage Protection and Pain Relief

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ROS‐responsive NM@MET nanomotors utilize elevated ROS in osteoarthritic joints to promote deep penetration into cartilage and synovium and enable sustained metformin release. By scavenging ROS, regulating NRF2/KEAP1 signaling, protecting chondrocytes, suppressing synovial inflammation, and attenuating nociceptive signaling, NM@MET alleviates pain and ...

Real‐Time in Vivo Monitoring of Circulating Endometrial Cells: Uncovering Systemic Dissemination and Temporal Fluctuations in Endometriosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐color pseudo‐menstrual mouse model enables real‐time tracing of circulating endometrial cells (CECs) from uterine and ectopic sources. The study reveals menstrual‐phase‐dependent, burst‐like CEC release, distinct postoperative behaviors of different CEC origins, and a potential association with prolactin fluctuations, providing an in vivo ...

On Model-Based Analysis of Ear Biometrics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Ears are a new biometric with major advantage in that they appear to maintain their structure with increasing age. Most current approaches are holistic and describe the ear by its general properties. We propose a new model-based approach, capitalizing on

Biodegradable Acoustic Targeting for Ultrasound‐Supported Gene Therapy (BATUS) in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Glioblastoma (GBM) remains one of the most challenging brain malignancies due to the restrictive nature of the blood–brain barrier (BBB), which severely limits effective drug and gene delivery. To overcome this, we introduce Biodegradable Acoustic Targeting for Ultrasound‐Supported Gene Therapy (BATUS), a modular platform that enables safe ...

A Hydrogen Sulfide–Releasing Dynamic Hydrogel Modulates Coordinated Neurovascular, Immune, and Angiogenic Responses for Scar‐Suppressed Diabetic Wound Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ROS‐Responsive H2S Hydrogel (HAPPF) Coordinated Regeneration for High‐Quality Diabetic Wound Repair.A self‐regulating dynamic hydrogel is developed to deliver a fluorogenic H2S donor in response to excessive ROS. Released H2S acts as a master regulator to resolve chronic inflammation (M2 polarization), restore VEGF‐driven angiogenesis, and rebalance ...
