Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma of the Middle Ear with Long-Term Survival
New England Journal of Medicine, 1971EMBRYONAL rhabdomyosarcoma of the middle ear has been described as a uniformly fatal disease. Rapid progression, with early death, has characterized each of the 15 previously reported cases.1 This paper describes a long-term survival (42 months) in a patient treated by radiotherapy after incomplete surgical removal of the tumor.
