The Middle Ear in Long-term Dialysis
Southern Medical Journal, 1982When fluctuating middle ear fluid was observed in patients receiving long-term dialysis, the dialysis was suspected as the potentiating factor. In a statewide survey, a significant number of ear, nose, and throat specialists were undecided about etiology.

Resection arthroplasty: Middle- and long-term results
Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, 1989Conclusions on results after resection arthroplasty were made by analyzing patient records with regard to completed questionnaires. Sixty-four patients were followed up for 2.1-15.9 years postoperatively. The indications for explanation were septic or aseptic loosening with extensive bony destruction. The average age of the patients was 69.7 years.

Long-Term Fate of Plastipore in the Middle Ear
ORL, 1998Four Plastipore prostheses, removed at revision surgery 7–10 years after implantation, have been examined. The gross appearance of the prostheses was preserved. The prostheses were surrounded by a fibrous tissue capsule and showed fibrous tissue ingrowth localized in peripheral zones.

Middle-Term Results of Salter Innominate Osteotomy
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 2001This study evaluated middle-term clinical and radiographic results of Salter innominate osteotomy for treatment of dysplastic, subluxated, or congenitally dislocated hips. Thirty-five hips in 33 patients with a mean age at index surgery of 4 years 7 months were followed up for an average of 16.5 years.

The Laryngoscope, 1981AbstractThis is a 16 year experience report on the author's wide flange ventilation tube, used for permanent or severe chronic Eustachian tube dysfunction. Two hundred and twenty‐eight implants in 198 ears of 126 patients were adequately followed. A small series of 13 Paparella implants is included.Patient age ranges from 6 months to 72 years.
