ABSTRACT ‘Ubá’ mango is a fruit crop of great value for farmers in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais state, Brazil. Organic farmers from this region recently reported a severe outbreak of foliar black spots of unknown aetiology in orchards of this mango variety, causing significant concern.

ABSTRACT During blood flow restriction (BFR) exercise, blood becomes sequestered in the active limbs due to impeded venous return, contributing to central hypovolemia. Dehydration also reduces blood volume and can exacerbate the ability of the cardiovascular (CV) system to defend against CV stressors, such as exercise and orthostatic stress.

Testosterone Exposure During Fetal Masculinization Programming Window Determines the Kidney Size in Adult Mice

Kidney size is sex‐dimorphic and regulated by androgens in adult humans and mice. Male mice lacking the main testosterone‐producing enzyme HSD17B3 had reduced testosterone during a short fetal time window, leading to reduced size of kidneys in adults, which were not responsive to high adult testosterone.
