Electrophysiological Guidance of Epidural Electrode Array Implantation over the Human Lumbosacral Spinal Cord to Enable Motor Function after Chronic Paralysis. [PDF]
Epidural electrical stimulation (EES) of the spinal cord has been shown to restore function after spinal cord injury (SCI). Characterization of EES-evoked motor responses has provided a basic understanding of spinal sensorimotor network activity related ...

Directional Sensitivity of Echolocation System in Bats Producing Frequency-Modulated Signals [PDF]
1. Radiation patterns of the 55, 75 and 95 kHz components in frequency-modulated sounds emitted by the grey bat (Myotis grisescens) were studied. FM sounds similar to species-specific orientation sounds were elicited by electrical stimuli applied to the ...

Novel quaternary ammonium AIE luminogens (AIEgens) with symmetric and Janus structures are rationally designed and prepared for bacteria killings. The integration of experimental and theoretical studies discloses that the Janus‐type AIEgen interacts better with bacterial membranes and shows stronger membrane perturbation, demonstrating superior ...
