Atomically-flat, chemically-stable, superconducting epitaxial thin film of iron-based superconductor, cobalt-doped BaFe$_2$As$_2$

open access: yes, 2009
Epitaxial growth of Fe-based superconductors such as Co-doped SrFe$_2$As$_2$ (SrFe$_2$As$_2$:Co) was reported recently, but has still insufficient properties for device application because they have rough surfaces and are decomposed by reactions with ...

Exploring the Relationship Between MDM4 Gene Polymorphisms (rs1380576 and rs4245739) and Breast Cancer Susceptibility in Bangladesh: A Case–Control Study

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Our findings indicated that the rs4245739 A>C polymorphism was not associated with BC risk in the Bangladeshi population, whereas the rs1380576 C>G polymorphism was significantly associated with BC risk. This study provides new insights into the genetic factors influencing breast cancer susceptibility in the Bangladeshi population, highlighting the ...

Quantum critical behavior in heavily doped LaFeAsO$_{1-x}$H$_x$ pnictide superconductors analyzed using nuclear magnetic resonance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We studied the quantum critical behavior of the second antiferromagnetic (AF) phase in the heavily electron-doped high-$T_c$ pnictide, LaFeAsO$_{1-x}$H$_x$ by using $^{75}$As and $^{1}$H nuclear-magnetic-resonance (NMR) technique. In the second AF phase,

Multicenter Validation Study of the Clinical Diagnostic Criteria for IgG4‐Related Sclerosing Cholangitis 2020 in Japan

open access: yesJournal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The diagnostic performance of clinical diagnostic criteria for IgG4‐related sclerosing cholangitis 2020 (IgG4‐SC2020) has not been fully validated since its proposal as a revision of the 2012 criteria (IgG4‐SC2012). Methods We conducted a multicenter validation study to evaluate the diagnostic performance of IgG4‐SC2020 using ...

Electronic and Magnetic Phase Diagram of a Superconductor, SmFeAsO1-xFx

open access: yes, 2010
A crystallographic and magnetic phase diagram of SmFeAsO1-xFx is determined as a function of x in terms of temperature based on electrical transport and magnetization, synchrotron powder x-ray diffraction, 57Fe Mossbauer spectra (MS), and 149Sm nuclear ...

Surrogate measure of gut blood flow via superior mesenteric circulation on ultrasound in adults who underwent esophagectomy: A descriptive cohort study

open access: yesJournal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Early enteral nutrition is recommended for critically ill patients. However, feeding an ischemic gastrointestinal tract with enteral nutrition may lead to gut necrosis. Although gut tolerance of enteral nutrition is assessed by various symptoms, none of them provide conclusive evidence of gut ischemia. We investigated the blood flow

Itinerant Ferromagnetism in layered crystals LaCoOX (X = P, As)

open access: yes, 2008
The electronic and magnetic properties of cobalt-based layered oxypnictides, LaCoOX (X = P, As), are investigated. LaCoOP and LaCoOAs show metallic type conduction, and the Fermi edge is observed by hard x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

On the Interaction of the Photovoltaic Response With Ferroelectric and Magnetic Domains: Magnetoelectric Control of the Photovoltaic Response in BiFeO3 Thin Films

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates tunable photovoltaic responses in pure, polycrystalline BiFeO3 thin films, controlled by external electric and magnetic fields. By aligning ferroelectric domains and leveraging magnetoelectric coupling, the photogeneration is amplified up to seven times.
