Ion Irradiation Control of Ferromagnetism in (Ga,Mn)As

open access: yes, 2005
We report on a promising approach to the artificial modification of ferromagnetic properties in (Ga,Mn)As using a Ga$^+$ focused ion beam (FIB) technique.

Exploring the Relationship Between MDM4 Gene Polymorphisms (rs1380576 and rs4245739) and Breast Cancer Susceptibility in Bangladesh: A Case–Control Study

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Our findings indicated that the rs4245739 A>C polymorphism was not associated with BC risk in the Bangladeshi population, whereas the rs1380576 C>G polymorphism was significantly associated with BC risk. This study provides new insights into the genetic factors influencing breast cancer susceptibility in the Bangladeshi population, highlighting the ...

Resistance of Botrytis cinerea to anilinopyrimidine fungicides: A novel ARMS‐PCR method for the detection of Bcpos5 mutations and characterization of resistance using CRISPR/Cas9 editing

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
A TETRA‐primer amplification refractory mutation system polymerase chain reaction (T‐ARMS‐PCR) method was developed for simultaneous detection of the L412F/V and G408V mutations. L412F/V mutants were created using the CRISPR/Cas tool and no fitness cost was observed.

On the Interaction of the Photovoltaic Response With Ferroelectric and Magnetic Domains: Magnetoelectric Control of the Photovoltaic Response in BiFeO3 Thin Films

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates tunable photovoltaic responses in pure, polycrystalline BiFeO3 thin films, controlled by external electric and magnetic fields. By aligning ferroelectric domains and leveraging magnetoelectric coupling, the photogeneration is amplified up to seven times.

One Bit is All It Takes: A Devastating Timing Attack on BLISS’s Non-Constant Time Sign Flips

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology, 2020
As one of the most efficient lattice-based signature schemes, and one of the only ones to have seen deployment beyond an academic setting (e.g., as part of the VPN software suite strongSwan), BLISS has attracted a significant amount of attention in terms

Characterization of half-metallic L2_1-phase Co_2FeSi full-Heusler alloy films formed by rapid thermal annealing

open access: yes, 2007
The authors developed a preparation technique of Co_2FeSi full-Heusler alloy films with the L2_1-ordered structure on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) substrates, employing rapid thermal annealing (RTA).

Quantum critical behavior in heavily doped LaFeAsO$_{1-x}$H$_x$ pnictide superconductors analyzed using nuclear magnetic resonance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We studied the quantum critical behavior of the second antiferromagnetic (AF) phase in the heavily electron-doped high-$T_c$ pnictide, LaFeAsO$_{1-x}$H$_x$ by using $^{75}$As and $^{1}$H nuclear-magnetic-resonance (NMR) technique. In the second AF phase,

Promoting Methane Reductions Through Behavioural Nudges and Informational Boosts: A Field Choice Experiment in Japanese Rice Farming

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Agricultural methane emissions represent a significant contributor to global climate change, with irrigated rice cultivation being one of the primary sources. Despite the availability of effective mitigation technologies, their adoption often remains limited due to behavioural and institutional constraints.

Unusual Pseudogap-like Features Observed in Iron Oxypnictide Superconductors

open access: yes, 2009
We have performed a temperature-dependent angle-integrated laser photoemission study of iron oxypnictide superconductors LaFeAsO:F and LaFePO:F exhibiting critical transition temperatures (Tc's) of 26 K and 5 K, respectively. We find that high-Tc LaFeAsO:
