One Bit is All It Takes: A Devastating Timing Attack on BLISS’s Non-Constant Time Sign Flips

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology, 2020
As one of the most efficient lattice-based signature schemes, and one of the only ones to have seen deployment beyond an academic setting (e.g., as part of the VPN software suite strongSwan), BLISS has attracted a significant amount of attention in terms

Fundamental Investigations of the Deformation Behavior of Single-Crystal Ni-Mn-Ga Alloys and Their Polymer Composites via the Introduction of Various Fields

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
To meet the great requirements of future technologies, such as robots, single-crystal (SC) Ni-Mn-Ga alloys and their composites were designed and investigated in this study.

Comparison of crystal structures and effects of Co substitution in a new member of Fe-1111 superconductor family AeFeAsF(Ae = Ca and Sr): a possible candidate for higher Tc superconductor

open access: yes, 2009
We refined crystal structures of newly found members of the Fe-1111 superconductor family, CaFe\_{1-x}Co\_{x}AsF and SrFe\_{1-x}Co\_{x}AsF (x = 0, 0.06, 0.12) by powder synchrotron X-ray diffraction analysis.

Experimental evidence of $T_c$ enhancement without the influence of spin fluctuations: NMR study on LaFeAsO_{1-x}H_x under a pressure of 3.0 GPa [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The electron-doped high-transition-temperature (T_c) iron-based pnictide superconductor LaFeAsO_{1-x}H_x has a unique phase diagram: superconducting (SC) double domes are sandwiched by antiferromagnetic phases at ambient pressure and they turn to a ...

Accumulation of organic matter within a muddy carpet created by the Asian date mussel, Arcuatula senhousia , on the Midori River tidal flats, Japan

open access: yes, 2018
The Asian date mussel (Arcuatula senhousia) dominates macrobenthic communities on the Midori River tidal flats on the island of Kyushu, the southernmost of Japan’s main islands. They form dense patches and create mats on the sediment surface.

Intrinsic specificity of a ‘core’ TIP60 acetyltransferase complex in Drosophila

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
The intrinsic substrate selectivity of the Drosophila TIP60‐core acetyltransferase was determined using synthetic nucleosome arrays. Targeted mass spectrometry revealed site‐specific acetylation of histones H2A, H2A.V, and H4, uncovering distinct acetylation rates and patterns across individual lysines.

Neutrino Mass Matrix in Terms of Up-Quark Masses

open access: yes, 2003
We demonstrate that under the "symmetric zero texture" with minimal Majorana mass matrix, neutrino masses and mixing angles are expressed in terms of up-quark masses, $m_t,m_c,m_u$.

Effects of solar‐simulated (UVB plus UVA) radiation on the skin microbiome: An exploratory study

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
This exploratory in vivo study investigated the effects of solar‐simulated ultraviolet radiation (UVB plus UVA) on the human skin microbiome. Healthy male volunteers were exposed to suberythemal and erythemal UV doses, and skin microbiota were analyzed at multiple time points using flow cytometry‐based profiling and the open‐access bioinformatic ...

Biaxially textured cobalt-doped BaFe2As2 films with high critical current density over 1 MA/cm2 on MgO-buffered metal-tape flexible substrates

open access: yes, 2011
High critical current densities (Jc) > 1 MA/cm2 were realized in cobalt-doped BaFe2As2 (BaFe2As2:Co) films on flexible metal substrates with biaxially-textured MgO base-layers fabricated by an ion-beam assisted deposition technique. The BaFe2As2:Co films

The Impacts of Weather Variability and Shocks on Farmers and Indigenous Peoples' Consumption: Evidence From Panama

open access: yesReview of Development Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Weather variability and shocks pose significant challenges for tropical developing countries, making it crucial to understand their effects on consumption to address the existing deficiencies among the most vulnerable groups. This study examines the impact of weather variability and shocks on household consumption in Panama, utilizing repeated
