Phthalate Metabolite, Mono(2‐Ethyl‐5‐Hydroxyhexyl) Phthalate (MEHHP), Promotes Uterine‐Fibroid–Associated Phenotypes in Myometrial Stem Cell‐Derived 3D Organoids

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates how phthalate exposure contributes to uterine fibroid (UF) development by studying the effects of the Mono‐(2‐ethyl‐5‐hydroxyhexyl) phthalate (MEHHP), a metabolite of Di(2‐ethylhexyl) phthalate, on myometrial stem cells (MMSCs).

Macrophage Phenotype Alterations in Treated Periodontitis Patients Suggest a Pro‐Inflammatory Bias

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
Monocyte‐derived macrophages from successfully treated stage III periodontitis patients show a persistent skewing toward an M1‐like pro‐inflammatory phenotype across polarization conditions, suggesting that immune dysregulation may persist despite clinical periodontal stability.

Single versus repeated intravenous oncolytic reovirus infusions: Implications for immune modulation and rationalised scheduling of therapy in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 158, Issue 12, Page 3252-3267, 15 June 2026.
What's new? Oncolytic viruses are a promising immunotherapeutic approach against many malignancies. However, it is unclear whether repeated doses have improved therapeutic value or may trigger greater side effects, especially in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma whose liver is chronically damaged.

Surgically induced astigmatism and refractive outcomes after minimally invasive glaucoma surgery combined with cataract surgery

open access: yesScientific Reports
Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) is believed to induce less surgically induced astigmatism (SIA) due to smaller incisions, yet few studies have evaluated SIA in MIGS patients. This retrospective cohort study compared SIA and refractive outcomes
