INOVTEK POLBENG, 2019 3 Juni 1994, gempa berkekuatan 7,8 skala Richter menghempaskan gelombang tsunami di selatan Banyuwangi. 199 jiwa dikabarkan melayang dan ratusan lainnya kehilangan tempat tinggal. Tsunami dikabarkan mencapai ketinggian hingga 9 meter dan menyapu belasan kilometer daratan.
