MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL TREATMENT REDUCES THE RISK OF TREATMENT ESCALATION DUE TO VASCULAR COMPLICATIONS IN LIMITED CUTANEOUS SYSTEMIC SCLEROSIS: EMULATION OF A TARGET TRIAL FROM ITALIAN RHEUMATOLOGY SOCIETY SPRING REGISTRY
Arthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.Objective
Mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon due to the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of the vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.Enrico De Lorenzis, Gerlando Natalello, Rossella De Angelis, Lucrezia Verardi, Dilia Giuggioli, Gianluigi Bajocchi, Lorenzo Dagna, Silvia Bellando‐Randone, Giovanni Zanframundo, Rosario Foti, Fabio Cacciapaglia, Giovanna Cuomo, Alarico Ariani, Edoardo Rosato, Gemma Lepri, Francesco Girelli, Valeria Riccieri, Elisabetta Zanatta, Ilaria Cavazzana, Francesca Ingegnoli, Maria De Santis, Giuseppe Murdaca, Giuseppina Abignano, Giorgio Pettiti, Alessandra Della Rossa, Maurizio Caminiti, Annamaria Iuliano, Giovanni Ciano, Lorenzo Beretta, Gianluca Bagnato, Ennio Lubrano, Maria Ilenia De Andres, Alessandro Giollo, Cosimo Bruni, Martina Orlandi, Marco Fornaro, Marta Saracco, Cecilia Agnes, Pier Giacomo Cerasuolo, Gabriella Alonzi, Edoardo Cipolletta, Federica Lumetti, Amelia Spinella, Luca Magnani, Corrado Campochiaro, Giacomo De Luca, Veronica Codullo, Elisa Visalli, Carlo Iandoli, Antonietta Gigante, Greta Pellegrino, Erika Pigatto, Maria‐Grazia Lazzaroni, Franco Franceschini, Elena Generali, Gianna Mennillo, Simone Barsotti, Giuseppa Pagano Mariano, Federica Furini, Licia Vultaggio, Simone Parisi, Clara Lisa Peroni, Gerolamo Bianchi, Enrico Fusaro, Gian Domenico Sebastiani, Marcello Govoni, Salvatore D'Angelo, Franco Cozzi, Fabrizio Conti, Serena Guiducci, Andrea Doria, Carlo Salvarani, Florenzo Iannone, Maria Antonietta D'Agostino, Clodoveo Ferri, Marco Matucci Cerinic, Silvia Laura Bosello, on behalf of SPRING collaborators +77 morewiley +1 more sourceRetractions in Rheumatology: Trends, Causes, and Implications for Research Integrity
Arthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.Objective
We aimed to describe the trends and main reasons for study retraction in rheumatology literature. Methods
We reviewed the Retraction Watch database to identify retracted articles in rheumatology. We recorded the main study characteristics, authors’ countries, reasons for retraction, time from publication to retraction, and trends over time ...Anna Maria Vettori, Michele Iudiciwiley +1 more sourcePrinted Integrated Logic Circuits Based on Chitosan‐Gated Organic Transistors for Future Edible Systems
Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...Giulia Coco, Valerio Francesco Annese, Valerio Galli, Ilaria Penna, Debora Russo, Marina Veronesi, Rita Scarpelli, Stefania Sabella, Mario Caironi +8 morewiley +1 more sourceEndothelial Cells Angiogenesis in Sulfated Glycosaminoglycan (GAG) Hydrogels Enhanced by Bioactive Glass‐Released Ions
Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.A mechanically tunable hydrogel composed of gelatin, chondroitin sulfate and laminin promotes angiogenesis in vitro without the supplement of growth factors. Endothelial cells morphogenesis was further enhanced by medium conditioned with bioactive glass 58S‐released ions (Ca and Si), thus offering a promising strategy to vascularize 3D tissue ...Marco Piazzoni, Ilaria Borghi, Francesca Cadamuro, Sophia Dalfino, Riccardo Campanile, Sofia Nizzolo, Valeria Cassina, Francesca Tallia, Julian R. Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.Broadband, flexible photodetectors integrating nitrogen‐rich carbon dots with single‐layer graphene on plastic substrates are demonstrated. A biocompatible chitosan–glycerol electrolyte enables efficient low‐voltage gating and on‐skin operation. The devices exhibit ultraviolet‐to‐near‐infrared response, mechanical robustness under bending, and verified Nouha Loudhaief, Petr Rozhin, Ilaria Bertuol, Ali Raza, Leonardo Viti, Subhankar Roy, Enrico Cavarzerani, Luca Sbuelz, Matteo Brilli, Andrea Serinolli, Jacopo Nicoletti, Riccardo Piccoli, Sebastián Castilla, Simone Dal Zilio, Enrique Rodríguez‐Castellón, Miriam Serena Vitiello, Maurizio Selva, Flavio Rizzolio, Alvise Perosa, Giovanni Antonio Salvatore, Domenico De Fazio +20 morewiley +1 more sourceBalancing Electrons to Break the Activity‐Selectivity Trade‐Off in H2O2 Electrosynthesis
Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.Carrier‐concentration balancing in CuS is achieved by coupling cobalt dopants with cobalt vacancies, converting CuS from p‐ to n‐type to accelerate 2e− ORR while withdrawing excess carriers to optimize *OOH binding for H2O2 desorption. The catalyst reaches 8.14 mol g−1 h−1 with >84% selectivity in 1.0 M KOH and drives robust electro‐Fenton dye ...Hangning Liu, Changhui Sun, Luyao Wang, Yuhang Cheng, Yi Xin, Xuyun Guo, Hui Li, Valeria Nicolosi, Yuhai Dou, Peng Li, Tianyi Ma, Jie Wang +11 morewiley +1 more sourceSensitized Triplet Exciton Generation in Nanostructured Polymer Scintillators: Toward Improved γ/Neutron Discrimination
