, 2020 11 SUMMARY The oldest knot carpet was found by Rudenko in Pazırık Kurgan. It is named the `Pazırık Carpet`. The next oldest carpets are specimens found in Lou Lan and Lop Nar in East Türkistan. Those carpets are dated A.D. III - IV centuries. It is accepted that those carpets were weaved by the Turks living in that area at that time.
