Abstract This article explores uncertainty as an onto‐epistemological concept that reveals integrative capacities of Indigenous and scientific knowledge. Looking at official scientific approaches to climate change in Russia, it traces how Indigenous peoples in Siberia navigate their lives as they continue to witness anthropogenic causes of climatic ...

Radial Fingering in a Porous Medium Digitation radiale dans un milieu poreux
The theory of immiscible radial displacement in a Hele-Shaw cell is extended to the case of a porous medium contained between two closely-spaced parallel plates, and experiments are described for the displacement of glycerine by paraffin oil in such a ...

Ultra‐Microporous Fe‐MOF with Prolonged NO Delivery in Biological Media for Therapeutic Application
New ultra‐narrow pores iron bisphosphonate MOF (MIP‐210) with outstanding properties for an unprecedent controlled release of a potential gaseous therapeutic agent ‐ nitric oxide (NO). The unique adsorption mechanism, along with the MOF's high chemical stability and narrow pores, leads to an extended NO delivery time exceeding 70 h in biological media.

Modélisation des transferts de matière en milieu poreux: Modèle couplé dissolution/diffusion [PDF]
Leaching tests are essential in the environmental assessment of stabilized wastes. Research programs are conducted on their interpretation in order to develop tools for the evaluation of long term release of pollutants contained in solidified wastes.

A Versatile Shaping Method of Very‐High Loading Porous Solids Paper Adsorbent Composites
A green one‐pot route combining two cellulosic products of different dimensions to prepare high‐loading (>70 wt.%) porous solids (metal–organic frameworks, carbons, zeolites) paper sheets, with good flexural and strength mechanical resistance and preserved adsorption properties.

The effect that connate water has on fingers of water penetrating into an oil-wet porous medium is examined. In this context, the connate water appears to have no influence on the width of fingers, but instead causes the fingers to be more irregular than
