The Effect of Sleep Deprivation on the Vestibulo‐Ocular Reflex and Vestibular Adaptation in Healthcare Night‐Shift Workers

This study examined the effects of sleep deprivation on the vestibulo‐ocular reflex (VOR) in healthcare night‐shift workers. Results showed a significant reduction in VOR gain (7.5%) during passive head movements toward far targets after a night shift, whereas other VOR functions and gaze stability remained unaffected.
