Impact of diet and body composition on donor human milk: a cross-sectional pilot study
Introduction and Objectives: Donor human milk is recommended in Neonatal Intensive Care Units when maternal breast milk is unavailable. This study aimed to explore the association between the eating habits, body mass index, and body composition of human ...

Malectin alleviates high glucose‐induced ER stress and damage in placental trophoblasts, a function dependent on its six critical carbohydrate‐binding residues. In a GDM mouse model, administration of TAT‐Malectin ameliorated hyperglycemia and placental ER stress and prevented fetal macrosomia.

Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

A genome‐wide microRNA CRISPR screen identifies miR‐18a as a master regulator of cross‐resistance in melanoma. Loss of miR‐18a activates the AJUBA–YAP/Hippo axis to confer BRAFi resistance and enhances THBS1–CD47 interaction to impair CD8+ T cell immunity. hnRNP A1 is identified as an upstream regulator of miR‐18a processing.

The composition and biosynthesis of milk lipids
A p a r t from the obvious importance of milk as the natural food of the infant mammal and, in the case of cows’ milk, as food for man, its ready availability has invited chemical and biochemical study. In respect of milk fat in particular, its special place in the history of lipid chemistry is noteworthy; it was included by Chevreul in his classical ...

Adipocyte‐Derived Leptolin Enhances Energy Expenditure and Prevents Obesity
We identified a novel adipokine, which we named leptolin. In humans, leptolin levels in white adipose tissue were positively correlated with exercise and negatively associated with body mass index. We observed elevated leptolin in serum from athletes and lower leptolin in serum from obese individuals.

ABSTRACT Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is characterized by dysregulated T cell responses. RNA helicases, including DExD‐box helicase 21 (DDX21), are pivotal in RNA metabolism, but their role in T cell‐mediated pathology during IBD remains unclear. Here, we demonstrate that DDX21 expression in CD4+ T cells correlates with cell cycle and translation ...
