Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

EFFECTS OF MONTH AND YEAR OF CALVING ON 305-DAY MILK YIELD IN HOLSTEIN-FRIESIAN CATTLE IN NWFP, PAKISTAN

open access: yesPakistan Veterinary Journal, 2002
Data on production performance of 90 imported Dutch Holstein-Friesian cattle and their 127 Pakistani- born progeny from 1982 to 1991 were analyzed. The mean first lactation 305-day milk yield for imported and Pakistani-born cows was 3196.7 ± 66.36 and ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

A hierarchical 3-level meta-analysis of the effect of arginine supplementation on lactational performance in dairy cows and the associated influencing factors

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science
: Arginine is one of the most versatile among the AA because of its important role in multiple functions of the body. However, the effect of Arg supplementation on lactational performance in dairy cows, and the associated influencing factors, have not ...

RELATIONSHIP OF UDDER AND BODY MEASUREMENTS WITH MILK IELD IN HOLSTEIN COWS REARED IN EGYPT [PDF]

open access: yesFayoum Journal of Agricultural Research and Development, 2019
The aim of the present study was to study the relationship of udder and body measurements with milk yield in Holstein cows in Egypt. Milk yield, udder and body measurements were recorded using 10 Holstein cows in first and second parity.

Variation in Lactation Yield of Milk Constituents

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 1966
Abstract The lactation production of milk, milk fat, solids-not-fat (SNF), and total solids from cows of six breeds in seven Midwest states was used to investigate gross environmental effects on these traits and to consider correlated responses due to selection for a single trait.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Evaluation of reference lactation length in Chios dairy sheep

open access: yesAnimal, 2019
Definition and establishment of a fixed reference lactation length could provide useful tools for on-farm comparison of ewes and flock management as well as genetic evaluations for the breeding programme. The objectives of this study were to (i) evaluate
